  5. The way to receive a Victorious, Healthy Life through JESUS' HEALING POWER

    1. Believe in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    2. Believe in the Bible. The Bible is God Talking to you. Acts 20:32 And now brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. YOU ARE A SON OF GOD AND ALL OF HIS GIFTS ARE YOURS!

    3. Delight yourself also in the Lord; and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. Ps. 37:5 Delight yourself in the Lord ... How do we do that? By reading His words and loving Him, and making Him part of our life. And acting on His word. My son, attend to my words; incline your ears unto my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart (in your spirit). For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh Prov. 4:22

    4. Be certain no doubt is in your life. The devil wants to tell you this is not true. He wants you weak and sick and filled with doubts. It is natural to have doubtful thoughts just don't give in to them. (I pray daily for God to keep the devil out of my life and to have his angels watch over me.) (I say Jesus is my salvation, Jesus is my healer, Jesus is the light of my life. My reason for being, the love of my life! I say my body, soul, and spirit belongs to Jesus! The Devil has no place or control in or over my life.) Romans 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. When you confess what you are in Christ, claim it, and walk in it, you are appropriating the reality of what is legally yours. You are or will become what you say!!!! Proverbs 18:21, The power of life and death are in the tongue. After a while when the devil sees he can not win he will leave you alone. Constantly confess that God's word is true. GOD'S WORD IS TRUE! James 1:6-7. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.

    5. Ask God to forgive your sins. Before you ask God for something, "get right with Him ..." If you have any hate in your heart, get rid of it. Forgive anyone you might be mad at. Confess your sins to God and pray in Jesus name and you will be forgiven. Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

    6. Now does God promise what you are asking for? Find the scripture where Jesus has promised you your healing and use these in your prayer. Such as: Mathew 8:17 Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sickness. 1Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes we are healed. Proverbs 4:22 My words are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh. Psalms 107:20 He sent His Word and healed them. Psalms 103:3 Who forgives all your sins and heals all your disease. Psalms 50:15 "Call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee and thou shalt glorify Me." Jesus as well as bearing our sins, took all of our sickness with him to the cross. What a wonderful thing as Christians to know we do not have to be sick. All we have to do is claim what God has promised us. And what a terrible thing for Jesus to have to bear all of our disease and we don't even take advantage of the sacrifice He made for us.

  6. 3) Faith is the evidence of God's promises.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews11:1)

If faith is the evidence, then the thing although not seen, must be real. You can't have evidence for something that doesn't exists. So faith is the evidence of things not seen. What does evidence mean? Evidence is that which supports the existence of something. The fact that something exists, something that I'm unable to see, so I need the evidence to prove it.(II Corinthians 4:18) While we look not at things which are seen, but at things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. That sounds ridiculous. How can you look at something that is not seen? Only with the eye of faith.

As Christians we must live our lives by faith. (II Corinthians 5:7) For we walk by faith, not by sight: That means the man of God walks by faith. He doesn't walk by what he sees. He bases his action on the word of God. That is why it is so important to know what the word of God says. God's word says, "While we look not at the things that are seen, but at things that are not seen." Don't look at the cancer or heart disease in the natural. Look at them through God's words. "Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sickness" (Matthew 8:17). Why did He bare them if He wants us to bare them?(I Peter 2:24 ) "by whose stripes you were healed" YOU WERE HEALED, not going to be, you are! You might say, well how come I'm sick? Because you are saying you are sick. The word of God says you are well. But as long as you take sides against the word of God, the word of God can not work on your behalf. When you get in line with the word, by his stripes I was healed, sickness and disease will flee. It will not be able to stay there.

Acting on God's word will bring the evidence of things hoped for, (our healing, or whatever blessing you are in need of) into the natural world. As Jesus said over and over again to the people He healed, "Your faith has made you whole." Jesus took spiritual gifts from the spirit world into the natural world. Jesus blessed us with all spiritual blessings. (Ephesians 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Not some but all spiritual blessings, and FAITH is our blank check to draw on these blessings to give us life and give it more abundantly. So with faith we can bring things from the spirit world to the natural world. (Hebrew 11:1) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Thank you Jesus.

    4) Things you can't see are real.

Everything material was first of all spiritual before God made it into the physical. It existed first in the mind of God before it was produced in physical manifestation. Since everything was first of all spiritual, spiritual things are more real than physical things. Just because you can't see it or feel it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

At this very moment the air is full of FM and AM radio waves, also UHF and VHF television pictures. But just because you can't see them or touch them doesn't mean that they are not real. You just don't have the proper apparatus to tune them in. With a TV set or radio they are perfectly clear. Faith is the TV set that tunes into the realm of God. Your Bible is your TV guide to find out what programs are on. You'll find it covers everything.

  9. Obedient to Christ"s Command(1-4-5)
    Wait for the Promise
4.And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, saith the,ye have heard of me.
    5. For John truly baptized with water;but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

The Lord issued a command. It may have bring disappointments to some who are looking for action. This command was to wait carried with a promise. It was the same promise.

The gathering of the disciples in this verse evidently took place in the city of Jerusalem (Luke:24-49-50).After the meeting,Jesus led them out of the city to the place from which He ascended. This was the last"formal"meeting.
Their waiting period was not a period of sitting around doing nothing. This waiting period in the disciples life was a period of preparation for being baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is to preparation they wold need for an exciting ministry.

In Mathew 3:11 John had foretold and explained this new baptism. It was for sinners who had repented them of service by enduring them with superhuman power. The disciples understood that God would keep His promise within the next few days.

  12. Matthew 17

    King James Version (KJV)

17 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
